Civil and Environmental Engineering

Civil and environmental engineering is a discipline in charge of planning and designing various social infrastructures, which are the basic welfare of human life, to construction, operation, and maintenance.The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Erica Campus of Hanyang University consists of 9 fields: Construction Management, Structural Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Concrete Engineering (Reinforced Concrete, Concrete Materials), Waste Engineering, and Water Environment Engineering (Water Engineering, Hydraulic Coastal Engineering, Water Quality Engineering). Since its establishment in 1979 as an institution to cultivate human resources for social infrastructure, it has cultivated human resources in the construction field, which was the center of industrial growth in Korea, and has contributed greatly to the technological development of the construction industry.  The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Erica Campus is making efforts to cultivate outstanding human resources who can continuously adapt to changes in society by presenting a new vision in line with the rapidly changing social and economic environment based on history and tradition. The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering is providing support to alleviate the difficulties of high school students such as providing accommodation and board, reading room and study room, and free materials while operating the national examination class.
