Photonics and Nanoelectronics

In the department of marine science and convergence engineering (MSCE), based on the convergent knowledge on the ocean monitoring and exploration engineering, marine ecology and biotechnology, marine environmental and climatic changes, marine bio- and mineral resources and marine energy, we foster well-educated specialists in ocean sciences and engineering in the future. Disciplines in the MSCE include: (1) studies on the use of underwater acoustics to study physical properties at sea, (2) studies on marine systems and coastal engineering using diverse geophysical exploration methods and numerical modeling, (3) studies on the global warming mechanisms and ocean-atmosphere interactions using numerical models, (4) studies on the ecological and biogeochemical processes and biotechnological application of marine bio-resources, and (5) environmental and eco-toxicological studies of marine ecosystems.
